Special Programs

At the Corbin Physical Therapy facility we have an indoor heated therapeutic pool which allows us to utilize the benefits of aquatic therapy in treating patients who have undergone joint replacement, suffer from chronic neck and back pain, arthritis and fibromyalgia. Patients who are not able to benefit from land therapy are referred for aquatic therapy.

Aquatic physical therapy is part of an integrated approach to functional rehabilitation. Some of the benefits of exercising in the water helps to support the body and reduces or eliminates shock or stress to the joints. Aquatic therapy also improves fitness by increasing respiratory rate, decreasing the heart rate, and helping to improve mobility.

We also offer an Arthritis Aquatics Program which meets Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Those wanting to participate may contact our office for further information.
